EXT. BACK YARD - NIGHT

Summer 2023, Los Angeles writers & actors strike and hurriquakes put our mild beach breezes on the spin cycle, but nevertheless the cast & crew persisted with a series of workshop performances of this full length ensemble piece about the ghost of a once famous playwright, Dirk Larchmont, who insists on reinstating his relevance in the public eye by presenting scenes and monologues from his best works. Larchmont, once a fixture of 80’s and 90’s American theater, was considered a man who could write his female characters with more depth and accuracy than his contemporaries. He begs the audience to consider him a master of the female psyche, inspired by a goddess he channels into his work.
